Sewage Treatment BOT project - Sustainable Water Management

Radium, in cooperation with the Taoyuan City Government, via a 100% owned subsidiary Company "Rih Ding Water Enterprise Co., Ltd." is responsible for this project. The responsibilities include upgrading the Taoyuan sewer lines throughout the city and increasing sewer line connectivity, improving the water quality of the service area and purification of river water. The ultimate goal is to enhance the living quality for the residents and promoting urban renewal and development while enhancing the competitiveness of Taoyuan City industries, effectively revitalizing the economy and bringing Taoyuan City to the global stage.

Waterfront paradise and new green landmark

"Discover New Taoyuan" is the main theme of the project, while the concept of "paradise" serves as the inspiration for the conceptual design of the sewage treatment facility. The energy-saving and carbon reduction design and the operating philosophy of "Green and Sustainable" were adopted with the hopes of upgrading the sustainable environment and overall water quality. Consequently, the sewage treatment plant will become the new landmark of Taoyuan City and Nankan River will become the new waterfront filled with life and vitality.

Cleaning the eight districts to become icons in Taiwan

Covering districts such as Taoyuan District, Bade District, Guishan District, and Luzhu District among others, the total area reaches 7,610 hectares. From the national perspective, the project faces the daunting task of connecting more than 33.5% of the current residents of Taoyuan City. When completed, the project will service over 600,000 households, and consequently purifying and treating at least 200,000 tons of waste water per day.

Local Roots and planting the seed of hope

In addition to adopting local Taoyuan resources, increasing employment opportunities and promoting market activities, the Radium Group's foundation will assist in fastering the community development, thereby improving the Nankan River and its surrounding areas.

The Taoyuan sewage treatment facility will entice other companies with environmentally friendly projects to invest in Taoyuan, resulting in the further development of Taoyuan.
